Just can't get that one dining reservation at Disney World that you really wanted?? This post will help you find and reserve a table for your Disney World Vacation!

Goodness me, where does the time go? First, I would like to apologize to all my readers for being MIA these past couple of months. The stress and responsibilities of my daytime job plus finishing my degree has really sucked all my energy. After a few months of hectic-ness, I realized just how much I need to write about The Happiest Place on Earth to decompress some, so here I am again! Hello!

The last time I checked in with you all, I announced that I was planning a Disney World trip in under 2 months. Was I crazy? Perhaps, but it actually worked out really well. As a side note, I had been previously planning a trip for September 2016 for a couple months when my plans had to change suddenly. Not only did I have to find new reservations, but also find new Fastpasses and dining reservations. How did I do it? By shear determination, that’s how! Aaaannnd maybe a little Disney magic. 🙂

Let’s talk about dining reservations today. Giving up my hard-found dining reservations was probably the most stressful part of the sudden plan change. While some restaurants are a breeze to find an opening, others are difficult even if you start at the 180 day window opening. This is where I found one extremely useful too: Touring Plans.

I had heard of Touring Plans, in my Disney vacation research, but had never really considered signing up for their services. I knew that with 2 small children on my previous trips, flexibility was really the key to enjoying our days in the park. What I did not not know about Touring Plans was their Dining Reservation Finder feature. I can tell you right now, that this tool made the subscription price more than worth it!

Currently, the tool is in Beta stage (whatever that means!), so you can only have a certain number of searches active at one time. I would start with your hardest to snag reservations, like Cinderella’s Royal Table, and choose two different times to search for. Sometimes you just have to be willing to change times for other parts of your Disney vacation to get your dining reservations. There are 2 different ways that Touring Plans will notify you when the reservation has been found: text and email. Use the text notifications! You are not the only one searching for those reservations and you want to be the first to respond to opening. After clicking on the link in the text or email, you will be brought the Disney World Dining Reservation Confirmation page to enter all the details of your party.

After you have snagged that first reservation, keep going with the rest of your reservations. I was able to get a reservation at Akershaus for breakfast prior to Epcot opening and Ohana thru Touring Plans and I don’t think I would have been so lucky if I hadn’t used them!

This is a tool I would recommend for anyone planning a Disney World vacation. Your sanity will thank you! At just $14.95 for a year’s subscription, Touring Plan is must.

*I was not paid in any way for this review of Touring Plans. It is simply a recommendation straight from my heart!
